Journey. The most beautiful and serene video game I have ever played.

I have never in my whole life been so utterly enchanted by video game in this way.  It truly brings out the true trust and teamwork in most everyone who plays.   

It can be compared to nothing in it's field. The only thing that could possibly match it, would be an Enya song.

You start out alone in a desert, and perhaps  the loneliest I have ever felt in a video game, with only one hint as to what to do : A mysterious glowing mountain in the distance.

Only pure curiosity and a deep yearn to find other beings perseveres you to keep going.  

You eventually find another active player, venturing along the same path as you.

(At first I thought it was just the computer, not a real person. XD)

And like I said: I have never seen such teamwork and trust with such little communication. The only way of conversing to your fellow traveler, is a series of musical 'pings'. And with that alone, I was surprised to connect so much to a player I knew absolutely nothing about.

We had a blast. We made music the whole time, pinging every few seconds. XD  They even waited for me while I left the room for a few minutes. I was so surprised. I didn't even ask. Not that I even could. : )

I have to say, right at the end, it almost brought me to tears when it was time to say 'good bye' to my partner.

But that feeling was only reinforced when the player stopped and faced me. They then 'pinged' a few times (as we had been doing non stop through the whole journey XD)  then drew a heart in the sand and 'pinged'. I repeated this and we pinged more. XD

Then, we both just stared into the glow of the mountain. Then walked through.  <3
